Main interest of a biological pre treatment is to limit the management of by-products (fats, sludges) which are more and more expensive to eliminate.

Thanks to this type of pre treatment, industrialists do not have any more fats to manage. Moreover, it is possible not to extract sludges from the bioreactor (under certain conditions, please contact us).

Indeed, some of our customers have installations which have functioned for more than 5 years and have never extracted sludges. Another interest is to reduce even more the quantity of BOD compared to a simple degreasing.

This is of course possible only with a strong capacity of oxygenation. A biological primary treatment is very easy to use.

Several industries have already moved towards this very promising and simple solution.

Treatment without degreasing

The primary advantage of this solution is to limit capital costs (no need for complete recasting of the wastewater treatment plant).

In the case of a rehabilitation of the WWTP, it is possible to increase its capacity by the installation of a high loaded reactor before the existing treatment.

In the case of a new WWTP station, CARBOFIL® technology makes it possible to treat the effluents without degreasing.

It can also replace an anaerobic digestion or a biological trickling filter.

When surface available for the realization of the WWTP is reduced, it is possible to treat your effluents with a bioreactor and a very high biomass concentration (> 10g/l).

To achieve these goals, it is possible to couple the biological reactor with ultra filtration membranes, or dissolved air flotation (DAF) for biomass clarification.

Complement of physico-chemical treatment

Reduce chemical sludges

The advantage of a physico-chemical treatment is to quickly and least expensively separate the particulate pollution from the water.

However, flotation does not eliminate dissolved pollution but displaces the problem by generating chemical fatty sludges very difficult to eliminate, quickly fermentable and source of odours.

It is possible to eliminate these very organic sludges by aerobic digestion with the CARBOFIL® digester.

This type of treatment can quickly show profits on eliminating cost.
